Answers to our frequently asked questions about a wide range of Moxie Award topics.

Yearly Calendar of Events

  • Open for applications – February 1, 2024 – May 3, 2024
  • Kickoff Event – April 18, 2024
  • Finalists announced – mid-May, 2024
  • Finalist interviews – late May – August 31, 2024
  • Private Judges and Finalists reception – September 2024
  • Awards Ceremony and Dinner – October 24, 2024

Interview Process

  • Finalists will be invited to interview between late May and August 31, 2024.
  • Finalists can choose to participate via Zoom or host the interview panel in their offices. If the Finalist does not have a physical office location and would still prefer in person, we can coordinate with one of our partners to host.
  • Interviews are scheduled for 60 minutes.
  • Finalists should be represented by their business leader, but others from their team may join as well.
  • The interview panel consists of up to six Moxie Award partners.
  • The interview is mandatory to be considered for a Moxie Award.

Who are the judges and what are they evaluating?

  • Judges are part of the Washington, D.C. community and are selected for their business acumen and success in their respective industries.
  • Judges will be provided with the Finalists’ formal application, supported by the interview panel’s overall impression.
  • The September Judges and Finalists reception offers Finalists an opportunity to meet the judges prior to their selection of winners.
  • Judges are looking for companies that are bold, innovative and show Moxie!

When will the winners be announced?

Winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons on October 24, 2024.
